A love for photography and art in general was instilled in me from a very young age. I steered more towards photography with the advent of digital cameras making it more convenient and less messy than painting, I then went on to study darkroom photography at college and was a camera salesman at my local John Lewis store in Peterborough before getting my first start writing for photography magazines back in 2012. Since then, I’ve written for over 150 issues of magazines and have written close to 1000 articles on photography – so whether you need somebody to write about photography, or you need the photographer to take the pictures – I like to think I’m a knowledgeable and laid back professional you can depend on.

As former deputy editor of PhotoPlus: the Canon magazine, it may come as no surprise to learn I shoot on Canon. My cameras of choice at the moment are the Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 Mark II, both of which are high-end professional cameras capable of producing incredibly details photos. I also pair them with razor sharp Canon L-series and Sigma Art glass.

It’s generally not considered the norm in the industry to hand over RAW files to clients and I also follow this rule. The RAW files straight out of the camera are unedited and aren’t a true representation of my work. You will instead receive high resolution JPEG files which I will have spent time on perfecting and making sure I’m 100% happy with.
